Combo Driver Job Description

**Job Summary:** Operate all types of equipment to perform safety functions, including manual transmission and chaining tires. Must be skilled to drive in various terrain, routes, and environmental conditions.

• Responsible for safely operating a tractor/trailer in freight transportation according to Company, Federal, State and Local laws with regard to run times and FMCSA regulations.
• Maintain records required with compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Comply with all requirements for safe and legal transportation of hazardous materials.

Frequently Performed Tasks:

• Safely operate tractor/trailer in the transportation of freight.
    -Perform pre-trip inspections on vehicles before each trip,
    -Ensure seal or lock on trailers after each trip,
    -Check gauges for malfunctions during trips,
    -Conduct post-trip inspections after completing a journey.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution OR combination of education/experience that provides similar background,
  or hold High School Diploma/GED,


• Hazmat,Tanker,and Doubles endorsements required (LCV Requirements may apply),
  or Commercial Driver's License Class A.
