- responsible for the assessment and basic management of medical, trauma and environmental emergencies under the supervision of the ED RN, Charge RN or Physician
- assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice
- communicate with the physician about the changes in the patient's clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology
- able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment
- assists in maintenance of a safe environment
- current and valid paramedic license issued by the state of Texas
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014
- current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) within 6 months of hire and maintain current
- ACLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current

We are a 202-bed acute care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission that offers a wide range of medical services including 24/7 emergency care, cardiology, wound care, surgical services, cardiac catheterization, and imaging. The hospital is the only Certified Stroke Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center, and Labor and Delivery Unit in the area. In addition, Dallas Regional is the only Trauma Center for 13 miles and was the first Accredited Geriatric Emergency Room in Dallas County. The hospital is a recipient of Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Awards, 15 Healthgrades Five-Star ratings over the past three years, and Straight "A" Hospital Safety Grades from The Leapfrog Group since 2018.
