Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Staff Engineer to join a top engineering services company. The ideal candidate should be self-driven, detail-oriented, and excel in taking ownership of tasks, adapting to challenges, and solving problems effectively. This role is based in a hybrid location in either Wilkes-Barre or Bethlehem, PA with a competitive salary range of $85k-$105k per year.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct site visits to document existing conditions and understand client needs.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and reports accurately.
• Analyze customer design parameters and data to evaluate feasibility and maintenance requirements.
• Complete and document mechanical design tasks for HVAC, plumbing, and process mechanical projects.
• Use 3D modeling software for design models and construction drawings.
• Create engineering drawings, sketches, Process Flow Diagrams, and Control Diagrams in electronic or manual formats.
• Provide construction administration services, including reviewing drawings, attending meetings, conducting inspections, and overseeing system startup.
• Analyze mechanical systems and assess component criticality.
• Collaborate with a team to integrate design information and client standards into construction documents.
• Support the Engineer of Record in system component selection and design.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of fans, pumps, piping, valves, HVAC, and control systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with load calculation and energy modeling software is a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit is required.
