- Provide real-time sign language interpretation during virtual classes and instructional sessions.
- Facilitate effective munication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and teachers/instructors.
- Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa, ensuring accurate transmission of information.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to support student engagement and learning.
- Adapt interpreting style and strategies to meet the diverse needs of students across different grade levels and subject areas.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students and staff.
- Certified Sign Language Interpreter with experience in virtual or remote interpreting preferred.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with other sign systems.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey plex information accurately and clearly.
- Knowledge of educational terminology and instructional practices across K-12 grade levels.
- Reliable internet connection and access to appropriate technology for virtual interpreting.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the virtual learning environment.

We are seeking a dedicated Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to join our team for the 2023/2024 school year in Toccoa, GA. As a Virtual SLI, you will provide sign language interpretation services to students in a virtual learning environment, supporting their munication needs across various grade levels.
