    Position Summary

    STERIS Endoscopy is seeking a 2nd Shift Material Handler to join our team This position is responsible for pulling material from the warehouse to support production material needs. Stock designated storage and staging areas. Assist with shipping and receiving duties and other warehouse responsibilities. Perform accurate inventory system transactions for components moving between / within the warehouse and production areas via mobile equipment and / desk computers. Use powered or manual equipment to move items to designated storage areas.

    Hours: Monday - Thursday from 11am - 8pm, Friday from 1pm - 5pm

    Duties

  • Pick raw materials from warehouse to replenish production supermarkets, Kanban bins/carts, or otherdesignated areas on the manufacturing floor
  • Perform inventory transactions and transfers in the inventory system
  • Operate equipment, such as forklift, electric and manual pallet jacks, and stretch wrapper for material handlingand loading/unloading of trucks
  • Assist receiving with the unloading of incoming materials and items, along with the labelling and the put-away ofmaterials to designated locations, and the delivery of items to designated personnel
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by aiding in cycle counts
  • Confer and correspond with supervisor to resolve problems, such as missing paperwork, damages, shortages,and nonconformance to procedures and policy
  • Comply with all quality systems, safety, security, and shop practice requirements
  • Pull from storage, load, unload, move, transport, and store items according to routing documents, system driventasks, or supervisor instruction
  • Perform other duties as assigned

    • Education Degree

  • High School Diploma or GED

    • Required Experience

  • 1 year of shipping and receiving or material handling experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • 1 year of experience operating a forklift or a powered pallet jack.

    • Preferred Experience

  • 1 year of experience with a Warehouse Management System.

    • Skills

    1. Must have ability to work from verbal/written instructions
    2. Individual must be able to adapt to change and be flexible to meet reasonable objectives
    3. Position requires lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, standing, sitting, and hand/finger dexterity
    4. Ability to work individually or in a team environment
    5. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of facility staff
    6. Basic arithmetic skills, the ability to read and understand procedures and documents, the ability torecord and verify data
