    The Housing Coordinator is responsible to help meet the housing needs for newly-arrived refugees to the US by preparing housing units to be move-in ready. Plus, you'll be arranging for someone to welcome them to St. Louis at the airport and transport the refugees to their new home.

    Duties/Responsibilities

    • Work closely with program client, Latino Outreach and Afghan Program Intake Coordinator to find appropriate housing for clients.
    • Coordinate signing of lease with landlord and clients, ensuring that all required documents are present.
    • Works with the Institute's finance department to ensure deposits, monthly rents, and utilities are paid in a timely manner.
    • Schedule and transfer utility services and occupancy certifications.
    • Prepare rental units for arrivals of clients, organize setups and deliveries.
    • Follow up with any identified housing issues.
    • Provide airport reception and transportation as needed.
    • Keep supervisor informed of daily activities.
    • Report any concerns to supervisor and/or appropriate staff.
    • Maintain confidentiality of all client's information, including address.
    • Work some evening and weekend hours as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities

    • Knowledge of St. Louis neighborhoods.
    • Proficiency in using web‐based client database programs and Microsoft office programs.
    • Well organized and detail oriented.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills.
    • Manage multiple tasks at once.
    • Able to make sound, quick decisions and respond to situations as the need arises.
    • Work well with limited supervision and under stressful conditions.

    • Must have a car and valid driver's license with proof of insurance.
    • Missouri CDL Class B License preferred.
    • Willing to obtain a MO chauffeurs license.

    Education and Experience

    • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
