Intern - Loan Accounting (Troy, MI) - Flagstar Bank

Flagstar Bank is looking for an intern to join our Loan Accounting team over the summer. As a Flagstar Intern you will have the opportunity to learn the daily functions and operations of our Finance department. During this time, you will interact with team members and leaders to gain real-world experience by working alongside our team to learn our processes and improve efficiencies while expanding on the core concepts introduced throughout your college classes. Throughout your internship you will participate in multiple engagement sessions designed to enhance your career outlook, communication skills, and business knowledge.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supporting daily tasks and accounting activities
• Supporting month end accounting activities such as balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
• Work with the accounting team on special projects through out the month

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent
• Current junior or senior pursing a major in Accounting
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize in an effective manner
