    Job Duties

    VMI is accepting applications for part-time Weight Room Supervisors.


    Candidates will oversee Cadet, Faculty, and Staff use of the new Cocke/King Hall weight rooms, aerobic equipment, and gym floor activities.

    Work hours will be flexible with some weekend and evening work required.


    Weight Room Supervisors will work closely with the Physical Fitness Facility Manager to ensure equipment is being used properly and safely and that malfunctions are reported and tracked.

    They will be responsible for opening and securing the facility at published hours and for ensuring that only qualified users are permitted facility access.

    This is a Part-time hourly, 12-mo. position, maximum 1,500 hrs per yr, no benefits.

    Hourly wage based on qualifications and experience.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Work hours will be flexible with some weekend and evening work required.


    Preferred Qualifications:


    The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or have extensive recent experience working with college-age men and women in a sports or physical training program.
