- Analyze deficiencies in internal controls, propose solutions, create remediation plans, and track and test outcomes
- Evaluate and design internal controls and their effectiveness
- Identify and assess business risk
- Manage multiple audit assignments simultaneously
- Support and perform risk-based audits covering operational and financial processes
- Document and report results of audits to management
- Efficiently interact with clients to perform audits, make recommendations regarding improvements, and gather information
- Analyze data for deficiencies in controls, duplication of effort, extravagance, fraud, or lack of compliance with laws, government regulations, and internal policies and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in a business related field
- Master's degree preferred
- Professional certification preferred (CPA, CIA, etc.)
- 1+ year of general accounting experience, preferably in audit
- Ability to work independently with little oversight
- High attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to present confidently to executive management
- 25% travel associated with this position
- Hybrid work schedule: 2 days in office / 3 days WFH
