    Manufacturing Test Engineers (MTE) support testing during the build process

    Responsibilities include:

    • Interacting with the aircraft across multiple sub-systems throughout assembly.
    • Testing all systems and sub-systems on the aircraft.
    • Developing new test equipment as testing requirements are updated, as well as documenting complex test procedures for use by non-technical co-workers.
    • Supporting the MTE Project team with the project management of test equipment and support equipment
    Candidates must be available to work any shift and weekends as required

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Functional test experience (i.e
    creating and maintaining System Check Out Procedures/Manufacturing Test Procedures for vehicle systems; providing technical test support; or overseeing the development and maintenance of vehicle functional test software used to test systems).


    • Experience developing and authoring test plans and procedures to be used by production.
    • Must be willing and able to support testing activities that occur outside of set schedule which includes nights and weekends per business requirements
    • Bachelors degree in a STEM field.
    • Active secret security clearance with an investigation within the last 6 years
    Must be able to obtain program clearance per business requirements

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience supporting functional test execution for various subsystems including fuel, hydraulic, electrical, rigging, etc.
    • Experience identifying and designing test equipment to be utilized during testing.
    • Experience with inter-departmental communication, both written and verbal, as this position requires extensive interface with peers, customers, associate contractors, management, and touch labor across varied disciplines on a daily basis.
    • Experience interacting with suppliers and working with them to provide technical content clarifications.
    • Previous experience with engineering releases and configuration change control.
    • Project management experience.
    • Proficient in MS Office.
    • Vehicle software loading experience.
    • Software programming experience.
    • Proficient working with 3D modelling software (CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks, Nx).
    • Product Lifecycle Manager (PLM) experience (e.g
    3DX, Teamcenter, PDM, etc.).


    • Experience working with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) (iBASEt, SAP, etc).

    Security Clearance Statement:
    This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Clearance Level:
    Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

    Ability to Work Remotely:
    Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules:
    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees
    Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

    Pay Rate:
    The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $82,200 - $157,500

    Non-represented full-time employees:
    accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays
    Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays
    PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year
    This position is incentive plan eligible.

    Pay Rate:
    The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $94,500 - $178,000
