    Position Summary:
    The primary responsibility is to manage quality processes within the manufacturing environment of Gilmore. This includes reviewing and analyzing manufacturing nonconformance reports. Reporting trends and developing Corrective Action Reports (CARs) to improve quality. Developing and managing Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) and process family control plans for internally machined items.

    Additionally, this role provides direct support to the Quality Control Laboratory and Quality Control Inspectors. This includes managing workflow, NCR reports and engaging with the Engineering Department as needed.

    Review and analyze Nonconformance Reports.

    Create Corrective Action Reports based on trends from Nonconformance Reports.


    Report to management on trends, corrective actions and needed changes to processes to increase the efficiency and quality of products coming out of manufacturing and QC Lab.

    Supervising Quality Control Lab and Employees

    Identifying Opportunities for Improvement

    Performing in-process audits and inspection as well as participating in internal/external
    QHSEManagement System Audits.

    Managing calibration of Gilmore owned tools and gauges

    Creation, review, and implementation of process documentation (procedures/work instructions)

    Supporting
    QHSEManager in additional tasks to ensure the
    QHSEManagement system is effective

    Perform any other duties as assigned.


    Required Education:
    Essential

    4-5 years of experience

    Preferred

    5+ years of experience


    Required Skills/Experience:
    At least 3 years in a similar role

    Experience in supervising

    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, determine acceptable measuring tools.

    Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.

    Strong knowledge of GD&T:
    ability to support and train QC Inspectors in GD&T processes and proper tools/gauges

    Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes

    Knowledge of API Q1; ISO 9001; ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the aptitude to write and update procedures and work instructions.

    High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications.

    Preferred

    Four years of related experience or experience directly working with quality in a manufacturing environment.

    Experience interfacing with ERP or MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.

    Ability to walk, stand, bend, sit, lift, push, pull and move objects for 8-12 hours per day.

    Ability to lift and carry files, packages, boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.


    Speak/hear and use specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Capable of properly using standard office equipment, including telephone, and a computer with keyboard.

    Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Includes steel toe shoes and safety glasses. Additional PPE may be required based on location and task.
