Interventional Radiographic Technologist Position at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC)

Are you ready to join the team at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), the United States Army's top medical institution located on Fort Sam Houston? BAMC stands as the largest medical facility of the Department of Defense and the sole Level 1 Trauma Center, providing exceptional healthcare services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate from an accredited program or military equivalent program
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification as a Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist.
Minimum of one (1) year experience within the last five (5) years as a certified Radiology Technologist.
Current Medical Radiologic Technologist license.
US citizenship required for government computer access.
BLS certification from AHA or ARC

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performing various radiologic procedures including specialized arteriography examinations, cardiac arrest response, and staying updated with imaging techniques.
Assisting Radiologists and physicians during procedures, coordinating with healthcare professionals, and maintaining patient appointments.
Operating and maintaining imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort during examinations.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

SCHEDULE:
Full-time position with 40 hours per week:

Monday - Friday
8: 30 AM - 5 PM

On-call hours:
Monday - Friday
Saturday - Monday
Report to the facility within 45 minutes.

Services may be required on Federal holidays.

Initial six to eight weeks spent on dayshift for training.
