    Description

    As OAH continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources Assistant to add to our HR department, providing support to our physicians, management, and staff, as they work to support our patients.

    The HR Assistant will provide assistance in the administration of all human resources policies and programs, participating in the administrative efforts necessary for maintaining the department's efficiency and effectiveness, including benefits administration, recruiting, payroll support, and various operational duties essential for efficient workflow within the Human Resources Department.

    This full-time, onsite position will be based at our Business Office located in Farmington, CT.

    Assists in the recruitment process, including posting open positions, both internally and externally, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews.

    Onboards new hires in an organized and expedient manner, including background and reference checks, preparation of offer letter and new hire package, completion of required paperwork, credentialing, new hire orientation, and setup of compliance training, and badging.

    Enters new hires into payroll and timekeeping system.
    Keeps managers and training staff aware of the status of new hires moving through the onboarding process.
    Responds to frequently asked questions from applicants, employees, and managers relative to employee benefits, policies, and procedures. Assists in maintaining documents, confidential employee files, and records.
    May attend job fairs with occasional events after normal work hours or on weekends.
    Maintains, updates, and distributes company telephone directory.

    Exemplary interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy; Strong verbal and written communication skills – effectively communicate with applicants, employees, and management staff, in a confident, clear, and timely manner.

    Highly proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; proficient with or ability to learn payroll management software and similar computer applications.

    1-3 years of administrative experience within the human resources field, preferably in a medical office or hospital setting.
    ~ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
    ~Experience with recruiting process, interviewing, and onboarding.
