    Non-Emergent Driver

    Job Description

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

    Salary Grade: $18/hr

    Reports to: General Manager

    Position Status: Part-time

    Location: Sacramento, California

    EZ Transportation is currently seeking a non-emergent driver that is compassionate, caring, reliable, and responsible to entrust with getting clients to and from hospitals, convalescent facilities, dialysis centers, rehabilitation centers, medical offices, and their private residences in a safe, secure, and professional manner.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Transporting patients and clients utilizing company vehicles safely and professionally.
    • Effectively communicate with dispatch regarding schedule progress and to receive instructions.
    • Maintain a professional image and attitude regarding clients and coworkers.
    • Complete daily vehicle pretrip and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
    • Assist clients as needed to safely enter and exit the vehicle
    • Understand and operate GPS devices and cell phones.
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • Must have previous customer service experience with a good track record of assisting customers in a thoughtful, caring, and timely manner
    • Must possess a valid California Driver's License
    • Must have a clean background check, drug screen, and driving record
    • Available to work varying hours between 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
    • Must have a great work history with a track record of being a reliable responsible individual (must provide references from a previous employer (s))
    • Must have a high school diploma or GED

    Physical Demands

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching frequently throughout the day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    Expected Hours of Work

    • This position is part-time. Days and hours of work vary by schedule. Early morning, weekend, and holiday work may be required as schedule demands.
