- Review blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the project and then prepare detailed estimates.
- Analyzing documents, blueprints, and project plans to ensure bid requirements are met.
- Provide all subcontractors with relevant drawings and specifications during the bid process.
- Estimate time, labor, material, and product costs to determine overall cost for project.
- Prepare written proposals, cost estimates, budgets and update for clients and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate, communicate and develop relationships with clients, vendors, consultants, contractors, engineers, shop personnel and project team members.
- May be responsible for some material ordering and distribution of drawings to proper personnel and other related tasks.
- Proficient in MS Office with a focus on Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A minimum of 2 years of college preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in plan and spec estimating.
- A background in mechanical contracting/knowledge of mechanical systems would be a plus.
- Requires strong math and communication skills.
- Critical thinking skills with ability to problem solve and make effective decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously using suitable time management skills.
- Above average written and verbal communication skills needed.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

- Possess initiative and good people skills.
- Must be a collaborator and be able to work independently on challenging projects that may have tight timelines.
