*Location: *Simi Valley, CA

*Pay Range: *$22hr - $26hr

*Knowledge &

Skills Required:

Read and write English
Complete knowledge of injection molding machinery and processes
Ability to work on both mechanical and computerized machinery from 28 tons to 300 tons
Ability to recognize and work on mechanical assemblies including molds, machinery, jigs, and fixtures
Knowledge of plastic resins used in injection molding. Knowledge of melt temperatures, mold temperatures, and drying parameters for ABS, PC, PEI, PPS, POM, NYLON, PS, HDPE, and others is required
Use of Hand Tools including socket wrenches, combination wrenches, and Allen keys, etc.
Use of micrometer and calipers
Must be able to lift 55 lbs
Mixing coloring and additives to given ratios

*Duties

Set-up of Injection Molding Machines which includes mounting molds into machines and setting all molding parameters
Set-up secondary equipment which includes dryers, mold temperature controllers and second operation equipment
Prepare and maintain hoppers and material loaders for production
Diagnose and improve part defects
Diagnose and improve molding cycles
Keep equipment and work areas clean and orderly
Change inserts in molds to produce additional molded configurations
Occasionally store and retrieve materials
Occasionally clean hoppers and load materials
Occasionally fill in for machine operators
