    Description

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Assist in food preparation

    Maintain condiments and other supplies filled and readily available to use by cooking team.

    Package and serve meals as needed, within guidelines; assist in the meal expediting process

    Assist with cooking or dining room service as needed

    Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations to ensure quality food service

    Clean, sanitize, and maintain cleanliness of work areas, surfaces and dining areas

    Perform other related duties as assigned


    COMPETENCIES
    Able to lift up to 30 lbs., reasonable accommodations may be made

    Ability to stand for extended periods of time

    Ability to work effectively as a team

    Ability to work independently

    Ability to stand for extended periods of time

    Ability to safely use kitchen equipment and appliances

    Understanding of proper food handling and sanitation procedures

    Commitment to organizations mission, vision and values

    Ability to understand the concepts of institutional and structural racism and bias and their impact on underserved and underrepresented communities

    Have a commitment to supporting communities who have experienced systemic oppression and bias (e.g. people of color, LGBTQ+ people, immigrants, justice involved persons, etc.)


    EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
    Some High School coursework; High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

    Food handlers license or prior completion of food safety coursework preferred
