The Pathways Internship Program is designed to provide students enrolled in a variety of educational institutions, from high school to graduate level, with paid work opportunities in agencies to explore Federal careers while still in school. Provides students with work experience related to the career goals while offering eligibility to permanent employment upon completion.

Duties
This position is part of the Pathways Internship Program and is located in the Recreation Department at an institution within the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP).
Observes and provides assistance to the Recreation Supervisor / Supervisor of Education and the other recreation specialists in planning, organizing, advising on and administering recreation activities and programs which promote physical, creative and social development.
Assists with developing and managing leisure-time and wellness activities, including hobby craft classes under, the Supervisor of Recreation / Supervisor of Education.
Assists with the creation and maintenance of sports leagues and team rosters and explaining rules and procedures of various sports and recreational activities.
