    Job Description


    A Guest Relations Associate directly influences guest impressions at Eataly by way of greeting, directing and answering inquiries over the phone and in person.

    Reports to the Front End Managers.

    Responds courteously to guest inquiries regarding availability, usage of products, range of services, restaurant offerings, school classes, recipe help and location of products throughout the market

    Acts as the initial responder and liaison between Eataly and potential vendors, passing information on to Eataly's Buying, Private Events and Public Relations teams

    Interacts with staff by leading daily emails and weekly staff breakfast

    Promotes and helps organize in-store events, such as producer tasting days and producer demonstrations

    Collects cash, checks or charge payments from guests and provides change and charge vouchers if appropriate

    Opens and closes cash till and ensures an accurate accounting of all transactions, collections and disbursements during work shift

    Returns carts and baskets to their central distribution areas, takes back go-backs/damages, fixes displays, helps restock, and supports team members

    Verifies employee discounts, returns, exchanges and voids with the assistance of the manager or shift lead

    Performs other duties as required or assigned

    The pay range for this position is: $17-21 / hour


    Qualifications:
    Qualifications

    Excellent guest service attitude with a welcoming and confident demeanor

    Ability to remain calm and patient in a fast-paced environment

    Ability to learn, retain and share Eataly knowledge

    High school graduate or equivalent

    Intermediate computer skills

    Basic math and cash-handling skills

    Previous retail and/or restaurant experience preferred

    Ability to speak and understand Italian preferred

    Job Requirements

    Ability to remain stationary for periods of up to 8 hours in length

    Ability to escort guests to other parts of the facility as circumstances dictate
