    Job Summary
    Perform general custodial duties to include: cleaning lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and offices. Empties trash, replaces liners, and cleans trash cans; vacuums, sweeps, and mops.

    Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
    • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
    • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
    • Assistance with special projects
    • Seasonal work
    • Emergencies

    Essential Functions
    • Performing general custodial duties, multiple levels of stairwells and/or housekeeping duties at building facilities to accommodate event guests;
    • May operate support machinery including service vehicles, lift devices, and various power and floor maintenance tools
    • Assist in the organization and set-up of events to include the set-up and breakdown of tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment, tents, and other specialized items.


    Minimum Qualifications
    • Ability to read and write, follow instructions, and understand diagrams.
    • Ability to work non-traditional hours.
