Job Description:
Cambay Healthcare is seeking a skilled orthopedic technician to join our team.
As an orthopedic technician, you will work closely with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with patient care, including mobility aids and transfers.
Applying and removing casts and splints with precision and care.
Fabricating, fitting, and adjusting orthopedic devices such as braces, prostheses, and orthotics.
Assisting during surgical procedures, ensuring the operating room is properly set up and supporting the surgical team.
Educating patients on post-operative care, rehabilitation exercises, and the proper use of assistive devices.
Performing administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records, scheduling appointments, and ordering supplies.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited orthopedic technology program preferred.
Certification as an Orthopedic Technologist (OTC) or Orthopedic Cast Technician (OCT) preferred.
OTC Certification from NBCOT or ASOP Required.
Previous experience working as an orthopedic technician or in a related role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Commitment to providing compassionate care to patients.
