    Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical

    About ECU Health North Hospital

    ECU Health North Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited, 204-bed acute bed facility serving Halifax, Northampton and Warren counties in the north-central region of North Carolina. Its service area also reaches into southern Virginia.

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our medical surgical team at ECU Health North Hospital. This role will provide care to patients with various medical conditions, requiring strong assessment, planning, and critical thinking skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide individualized patient care according to the North Carolina Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association Standards of Practice.
    • Collect and analyze assessment data to identify expected outcomes and develop a plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team members.
    • Implement interventions to attain expected outcomes, evaluate patient progress, and document the process.
    • Promote effective functioning of the healthcare team and collaborate with team members to meet patient needs.

    Requirements:

    • Current North Carolina Registered Nurse license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state.
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
