    Nursing Support - MS 2 East

    Job Description



    SCOPE OF POSITION


    The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide direct patient/resident care and supportive services to nursing unit and health care provider team under registered nurse supervision.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Bedside patient/resident care
    • Nursing assistant procedures
    • Stocking supplies
    • Maintaining equipment
    • Routine housekeeping duties as needed
    • Transportation of patients/residents as necessary
    • Basic computer skills for documentation of care & procedures performed and for training and education needs
    Assists or performs Activities of Daily Living (e.g., bathing, toileting, eating, dressing, grooming, etc.) for the patients/residents of the facility. Observes and reports health indicators. Performs blood glucose monitoring, if required. Utilizes computer and basic clerical skills effectively. Completes training and competency in specialty skills/procedures for department population.

    EDUCATION EXPERIENCE


    High School diploma or equivalent required. In lieu of diploma, confirmation of three years experience in a hospital/medical setting. Individuals who are at least 17 years of age and within 6 months of graduation may be considered. In behavioral health areas, phlebotomy training is required. Valid and active CNA licensure in appropriate state. CPR certification required.
