    Our hedge fund client is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join our esteemed Quant Systems team. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of the firm's critical computing infrastructure, which underpins our research and trading activities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with a global team of engineers to design and implement high-performance computing solutions, encompassing operating systems, software development tools, and network architecture.
    • Oversee and manage the firm's computing fleet, ensuring optimal performance and resource allocation.
    • Participate in the design and operation of clustered file systems for efficient data storage and retrieval.
    • Adhere to established Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies for the creation and maintenance of critical software systems.
    • Perform kernel and network optimizations to achieve ultra-low latency and high data throughput for time-sensitive applications.
    • Analyze system performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a closely related technical discipline (or a minimum of five years of demonstrably equivalent experience).
    • Proven proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Golang, or Rust.
    • In-depth knowledge of Linux-based operating systems and network administration principles (highly desirable).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate within a fast-paced team environment.
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail.
    • A demonstrated passion for technology, coupled with a continuous learning mindset and a strong desire to excel.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • Competitive base salary ranging from $200,000 to $250,000 annually.
