Description
To enter new/refill prescription and ancillary nursing care orders accurately and timely within the parameters established by Senior Care Pharmacy guidelines, state and federal regulations, and per customer requirements.
Perform order entry for new/refill medications into pharmacy dispensing systemPerform order entry of ancillary nursing orders into pharmacy dispensing system
File documentation as required by pharmacy procedures and regulations
Assist in other phases of computer operations including medical records and billing transactions
Assist in resolution of denied third party insurance claims, e.g. Locate medication from pharmacy supply area, count out, and package in correct system, including blister packs, vials, etc.
Strives for compliance by all staff with internal controls and state and federal regulations.
Participates in the development and successful implementation of plan(s) of improvement as indicated, recommended and/or required by Supervisor, Director, or any other corporate or regulatory compliance consultant.
Provides training to other staff that is necessary to successful job performance, consistent with company standards and expectations, and facilitates cross-functional awareness and proficiencies.
Valid Pharmacy Technician registration/certification (compliant with state regulations)Minimum one year of experience with prescription data entry
Excellent customer service and phone skills
Must be able to work a flexible shift including evenings and weekends
Ability to understand and interpret financial data.
Basic computer skills preferred; experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to effectively and harmoniously interact with facility, management and other employees at all levels; Must be dependable and able to work with minimal supervision
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
