    What we are looking for:

    As the Administrative Specialist you will

    • Work independently to provide technical, clerical & business support and coordination to all departmental programs and assist the with the financial & business functions.
    • Apply knowledge of laws, regulations, policies and procedures related to assigned duties. Many of the functions are universal to all programs, including payroll, benefits, accounts payable and procurement.
    • Provide specialized technical functions for a variety of programs, each with unique policies, guidelines, rules and programmatic purposes.
    • Deliver quality customer service to our internal and external customers.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Two years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience that includes records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data

    OR

    An associate degree in general office occupations and one year of experience with records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data;

    OR

    An equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Note: Driver's License Check - This position requires the operation of a state vehicle for the purpose of conducting official State business. If your license is from outside Oregon, you must submit at least a three-year court/DMV printout. If you have an Oregon driver's license, a record check will be conducted on the top candidate to ensure a valid license and acceptable driving record.

    Desired Skills:

    • Ability to provide general administrative support to all programs and managers on District.
    • Ability to organize and maintain filing systems.
    • Ability to serve as the Districts payroll clerk.
    • Ability to act as the Districts SPOT coordinator.
    • Experience greeting the public and answering multi-line phones.
