    GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
    The Director of Nursing in charge of the performance of the Nursing Staff.

    The Director of Nursing must be a leader whose responsible for managing the clinical team towards achievement of all goals and objectives as demonstrated by positive health care outcomes.

    The Director of Nursing's primary responsibility is to develop and implement systematic and robust quality assurances processes that's routed in policies and procedures.

    The Director of Nursing must assure that all policies and procedures are being followed system wide with all nursing staff.

    The Director of Nursing must be able to develop and provide technical written reports for the management team.

    Must assure that all regulatory requirements are being satisfied:
    namely but not limited to, Joint Commission, HRSA Core Requirements, National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA).

    Responsible for the administration and application of all JCHCC Center policies, procedures and protocols, as well as the application of and contribution to the center's clinical goals and objectives; Is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive health care services under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Executive Officer; Directs day to day clinical operations of all sites.

    Serves as member of the JCHCC Management Team.


    SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
    Direct and indirect supervision of designated professional staff; Supervises Clinical Site Managers, nursing and ancillary staff


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


    Works in collaboration with the Chief Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer to develop and implement policies and procedures for clinical operationsWorks in collaboration with the Chief Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer to develop and implement organizational and community specific Board Approved health care plansOversees the smooth progression of the daily patient schedulesOversees and assures compliance with regulatory agenciesOversees quality management of clinical services according to JCHCC policyResponsible for the administration, interpretation and implementation of JCHCC policies and procedures Interprets, comprehends and assures clinical staff's understanding and compliance with policies and proceduresActs as a resource to staff delivering patient care, regarding clinical practices, policies and proceduresActs as a liaison between clinic and community resourcesResponsible for developing training plans, emergency plans, and communications plans for the clinical teamInterviews applicants for clinical positions and makes recommendations to Clinical Site Managers as appropriateOrganizes orientation, training, growth and development of clinical personnelEvaluates clinical personnel on an ongoing basis to determine and identify training needsServes as the lead for quality improvement activities and is responsible for coordinating committeesAssists in the performance evaluations of Clinical Site Managers using objective criteria in accordance with JCHCC policies and procedures.

    Oversees and manages staff resources as need in times of emergency eventsDevelops and implements patient education as appropriateResponsible for Managing Overall Clinical Inventory that includes supplies and equipmentResponsible for assuring that all equipment is in working order, each staff member is competent to use equipment and ensures that all equipment is registered on the JCHCC agency wide inventory listingResponsible for the orientation and successful completion of all competencies for all Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Medical Assistants (MAs)

    Responsible for Leading all clinical special projects that includes but, not limited to:
    research projects, national or local projects, statewide projects Must evaluate work flow of all JCHCC sites on an on-going basis aimed at optimizing efficiency agency wide


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Demonstrated knowledge of scope and role of Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Medical Assistants (MAs); Demonstrates ability to act independently; Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills; Demonstrates a willingness to lead change; Demonstrates good communication skills in a diverse population; Demonstrates leadership ability, as well as, ability to assess, problem solve and effectively make decisions; Demonstrates flexibility and manageability of multiple demands; EDUCATION/


    EXPERIENCE:

    Qualified applicant will be experienced in clinical operations and possess a BA in Nursing with current licensure; Valid Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation Card (CPR); Demonstrated comfort, knowledge and understanding of information technology; A minimum of five (5) years' experience in community health or any clinical setting with demonstrated practice continuity in the RN workforce; Comprehension and willingness to take on the role and responsibility of leadership.
