    SummaryThe litho press operator is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery to print quality products. This position is responsible for running print machines, ensuring all prints are error-free and meet client expectations.

    The essential tasks to the position include setting up printing presses, loading, and feeding paper, monitoring ink flow and maintaining high quality end products.

    Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesExamine job orders to define quantity to be printed, stock specifications, colors, and special printing instructions.

    Makes ready to print single multicolor copy from pressSet up and operate press according to orderProperly inspect product throughout run to ensure quality printing including print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications and external defectsPerform preventative maintenance as scheduledLoad, position and adjust unprinted materials in equipment loading and feeding mechanismsTroubleshooting equipment as neededMaintain proper ink and water balance of press.

    Manage and direct crew to specific duties during scheduled maintenance.
    Check, set, and change rollers if necessary.
    May lead and give direction to other operators and feedersPerform needed maintenance during delay time.
    Monitor and maintain ink densities per customer specifications.
    Ability to navigate new processes to achieve increased production.
    Assist supervisors in documentation and improvement procedures through creative thinking.
