- Coordinating all meetings with students and families;
- Writing a personal letter of recommendation for all students
- Providing college information for students and parents regarding specific areas of interest and college choices
- Direct handling of any situations that arise in the college counseling process
- Assist students and their families in selecting the appropriate academic track related to their career path.
- Assist in providing students and families with information about different career paths and specific requirements for each path
- Participate, as required, in the end-of-term academic meetings that are related to students' academic progress.
- Editing college admissions advising materials/handouts/Internet resources
- Respond to telephone/email/visitor inquiries with cultural sensitivity, attentively identifying issues and assisting in resolving complaints or conflicts equitably and timely.
- Remain current on all college admission trends including merit and need-based aid, and standardized testing
- Assisting with College Admissions Advising initiatives and activities such as standardized testing, course forecasting
- Periodically update the school's course descriptions and communicate them to the universities
- Develop college relationships through attendance at regional and national conferences and college visits
- Handling of college admission representatives' visits to Rochambeau
- Coordinates standardized group and/or individual test administration
- Plans, develops and coordinates testing program policies, procedures, and schedules, and ensures adequate staffing for the administration of examinations.
- Contacts testing companies, and orders and maintains supplies of manual testing materials.
- Supervises and monitors the administration of tests; ensures that test instructions are accurate and that appropriate testing environments are maintained.
- Provides routine direction, information, and advisement to students and prospective students regarding testing policies, procedures, and outcomes.
- Ensures confidentiality of test results and recommendations; maintains security of testing materials.
- Assist with analyzing standardized testing results and based on these results make recommendations
- Assists the Registrar in verifying transcripts.
- Ensures that students have the necessary credits to obtain their High School Diploma.
- Assist with organizing the graduation ceremony.

Rochambeau, The French International School located in Bethesda, MD, provides a unique education combining the French curriculum with high-quality English instruction to around 1,200 students from ages 2 to 12th grade. THE POSITION
The position is a pivotal role within our College Admissions Advising office. The ideal candidate will blend administrative prowess with cultural sensitivity, supporting student success.
Excelling within our independent school environment necessitates the ability to collaborate and cultivate relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. This involves engaging with colleagues and various departments impacted by projects and decisions. Success in this role hinges on recognizing the interconnected nature of school operations and establishing and nurturing meaningful and effective relationships to strengthen the school community.

Handling a full caseload of students and directing all aspects of the college counseling process with them individually. This includes (but is not limited to)
Reliable, consistent attendance is required and an essential function of all staff positions. Employees must be punctual and dependable to meet their department and Rochambeau's needs. Work and service are interrupted when employees are absent or tardy, and an additional burden is placed on colleagues. Attendance and reliability are important factors in evaluating individual performance and continued employment.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative coordinator role,
Proficiency in office software and communication tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Demonstrated experience in handling confidential information.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
Ability to work non-traditional office hours.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
5 years of experience as an administrative coordinator or in a similar role.
Prior experience in a school multicultural or international admissions environment.
Bilingual abilities, especially in languages relevant to the organization's stakeholders.
SPECIAL NOTE
Per Maryland House Bill 486, amended in House Bill 373, authorizing the hiring of an emergent employee by a county board of education or nonpublic school for a period not to exceed 60 days pending a review of an individual's employment history for applicants who will have direct contact with minors, Rochambeau must contact all former employers to request information about child sexual abuse or sexual misconduct involving the applicant.
