    SNI has partnered with a leading manufacturer in the Greater Springfield area that is seeking a Quality Engineer to add to their team.

    Responsibilities

    Establishes quality objectives that align with the overall corporate policies and goals to ensure that quality standards are met.


    Responsible for updating and maintaining the organization's Quality Management System, which includes procedures, processes, and documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.

    Reviews design documentation, such as specifications and requirements, to ensure compliance with quality standards. This includes reviewing vendor quality manuals and company quality records.


    Examines data collected from quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure that it aligns with the established company policies and procedures.


    Stays updated with relevant quality codes and standards set by government bodies and industry organizations to ensure compliance and best practices.


    Explains the organization's quality philosophy to key personnel, helping them understand the importance of quality and how it relates to their roles and responsibilities.

    Creates and implements standards and methods for conducting inspections, tests, and evaluations to ensure product quality.


    Plans and oversees various quality-related activities, including analysis, inspection, design, testing, and integration, to ensure the quality of the assigned product or components.


    Utilizes statistical process control methods to analyze data and evaluate the current production process and any proposed changes, ensuring quality control and continuous improvement.

    Makes decisions on whether to accept a product for further use or continue doing business with a particular vendor.

    Proactively identifies and solves quality-related problems by developing innovative approaches and implementing effective solutions.

    Communicates important quality-related issues, developments, and improvement actions to the management team to ensure transparency and enable decision-making.

    Prepares and delivers technical and program-related information to the management team, providing updates on quality-related matters and progress.


    Supervises and guides workers involved in inspection and testing activities, ensuring the ongoing control and quality of materials, facilities, and products.


    Collaborates with managers to design and implement quality training programs for key personnel, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to maintain quality standards.

    Establishes, applies, and maintains quality requirements and standards throughout the development and manufacturing
    Qualifications
    Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in engineering field
    1+ year of experience in a quality role in manufacturing setting
    Strong attention to details
