    Position Summary:
    The Quality Programs Pharmacist plays a key role in achieving HEDIS/STAR quality performance. This individual is primarily responsible for pharmacy related programs and operations related to quality performance achievement.

    This role will work closely with clinical, quality, and practice performance teams as well as contracted payors and network providers.


    • Position is hybrid based in Phoenix, AZResponsibilities:
    • Develop and implement strategy to achieve STAR performance in medication adherence measures as well as subject matter expertise for other pharmacy related HEDIS measures.
    • Analyze, review, and recommend actions to improve formulary adherence and opportunities to improve care and decrease healthcare costs.
    • Establish and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships with Payor organizations.
    • Provider guidance and education to network providers through creation of tools and materials as well as in-person consultations.
    • Provide day-to-day focused outbound call opportunities for direct patient outreach by pharmacy care specialist team.
    • Monitor program data and metrics and adjust operations as needed.
    • Present work plan, leading indicators, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Provide cross-coverage as needed to support Equality Health Complex Care team.
    • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.

    Required Knowledge, Education, & Experience:

    • Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from university or college of pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
    • Active, unrestricted licensure by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy
    • A minimum of Two (2) years of work experience in HEDIS/STAR related quality management.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and web-based technologies including management and analysis of large bodies of data.
    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; highly collaborative team approach to work.
    • Highly organized, strong attention to detail and responsiveness are critical because of the high visibility of this team's work within the company.
    • Successful record of managing multiple projects with demonstrated ability to work independently in rapidly changing environments.
    • Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information in compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and company confidentiality policies and procedures.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and web-based technologies

    Highly Preferred Skills, Abilities, & Qualifications:

    • Bilingual able to read, write, and speak Spanish and English.
    • Establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with a diverse network of administrative leadership and staff.
    • Superior customer service skills.
    • Ability to convey complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, and the ability to interpret complex information from others.
