We Have Two Positions Available
Associate Financial Analyst, Next Generation Firewall (NGFW)
Associate Financial Analyst, Global Customer Services (GCS)
We expect office-based employees to be in the office three days per week, with two days working from where they choose.
We believe being together facilitates casual conversations and those magic moments where we can work on issues and ideas informally.
These moments build capability and deepen trusted relationships and allow our people to feel safe in taking risks and being disruptive.
Like so many companies, we are working through the details and things could change ....but in general, if a role is deemed office-based we want our teams to be together three days per week.
The TeamsNext Generation Firewall (NGFW)
We work hand-in-hand with business leaders to help them achieve their financial objectives.
The business (Speedboat) finance team is responsible for thinking end-to-end about our market, key competitors, strategic levers to improve performance, business performance monitoring, and strategic planning.
This includes partnering with go-to-market, supply chain operations, business strategy, Corp FP&A, etc. to educate on the business, explain performance vs Plan, forecast the quarter, etc.You are empowered with unmatched systems and tools.

We are looking for a strategic-minded financial analyst motivated by partnering with our go-to-market and supply chain operations teams to connect the key financial and operational elements of the business.
This role will use strong analytical skills and financial acumen to provide decision support and forecasting of our Next Generation Firewall business specific to our distribution channel partners.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, strategic thinker, and enjoys collaborating with a diverse set of functional leaders in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Sr Manager, Next Generation Firewalls, this role will focus on building a healthy channel distribution business and enabling business performance monitoring.
This role will work closely with the VP of channel go-to-market, the Supply Chain Operations team, and Corporate FP&A to set the strategy, define promotions, monitor and forecast performance, etc.
We need someone eager to leverage financial models to influence business leaders to think end-to-end and drive business outcomes.Your Impact
Understand our markets in cybersecurity, as well as the broader landscape in which we operate such as low-end, midrange, and high-end Firewalls.
Support the work led by Go-To-Market and Strategy teams - this will include underlying financial models to understand trends, regional performance, distributor performance, benchmarking, and competitive intelligence
Develop and present high-quality recommendations and deliverables for executive-level consumption and contribute to associated strategy and execution discussions
Work cross-functionally across our team supporting a diverse set of activities
Ensure depth of understanding around business performance, discounting, traction on promotions vs internal targets, product mix, inventory sell-in, sell-through, etc.
Demonstrate a 'CFO Mindset' while fostering a culture of growth, continuous improvement, and strategic thinkingConduct in-depth analysis of the competition to ensure Palo Alto Networks maintains its leadership position and tracks to its investor thesis
Ensure successful distribution strategy execution and appropriate channel stocking to support continued growth
Global Customer Services (GCS)
The Global Customer Services (GCS) Finance team partners with the GCS team to drive growth and profitability for Palo Alto Networks' service business which includes Technical Support, Customer Success, and Professional Services.
We manage the end-to-end financials, drive planning (long-term and annual), forecasting, reporting, and analytics to achieve the business and financial objectives.

Improve business performance by providing insightful reports, dashboards, analyses, and models. Drive accountability for business results with financial metrics

Develop and present high-quality recommendations and deliverables (PPT, etc.) for executive-level consumption and contribute to associated strategy and execution discussions
Work cross-functionally across our team supporting a diverse set of activities
Your Experience
A bachelor's in business administration, Finance, Economics, or equivalent (e.g., CPA, MBA) is strongly preferred.
Great teammate and willingness to operate primarily in a supporting role initially (with room to grow) - demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments; Ability to work independently at times
0-2 years of relevant internship or work experience in high-tech FP&A or business support roles, demonstrated ability to build complex predictive models and work with large data sets
Strong understanding of bookings and revenue financial concepts
Proficient with Excel (Gsuite equivalent), SAP, , etc.
Effective verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to distill complexity via a methodical and structured approach

For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $61,600 to $99,650.
