Our client is seeking a
Senior Security Engineer
to lead the design, implementation, and management of advanced security solutions across cloud and on-premise environments. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll shape security strategy, protect critical systems, and collaborate closely with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to enable secure innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Security Initiatives
- Develop and execute enterprise security strategies and roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership for architecture, design decisions, and implementation of security controls.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on security best practices.
AI & Emerging Technology Security
- Implement security frameworks for AI services, platforms, and cloud-based tools.
- Identify and mitigate emerging risks such as data leakage, model exposure, and supply chain vulnerabilities in AI workflows.
- Collaborate with governance and compliance teams to ensure AI security standards are met.
Security Platform Management
- Build and maintain security solutions across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and hybrid environments, including CSPM, CASB, CNAPP, and SSE tools.
- Ensure consistent deployment, configuration, and monitoring of security tools across all environments.
DevSecOps & Application Security
- Partner with DevOps and engineering teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement and maintain SAST/DAST and vulnerability remediation processes.
- Drive remediation of security findings in collaboration with development teams.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Align security controls with regulatory, compliance, and organizational requirements.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Support audit requests and lead remediation initiatives.
Incident Response & Operations
- Participate in incident response and post-incident analysis.
- Provide guidance to improve detection, monitoring, and response capabilities.
Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across security teams.
- Foster a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement.
Who You Are
- Experienced:
5+ years in security engineering, securing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure; OCI a plus) and hybrid environments. - DevSecOps Savvy:
3+ years implementing SDLC security and CI/CD pipeline security. - SaaS Security Knowledge:
Hands-on experience securing major SaaS platforms using CASB, CSPM, or similar technologies. - Certified & Competent:
CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, or other cloud/security certifications preferred. - Strategic Thinker:
Able to assess security maturity, create roadmaps, and communicate risk clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. - Collaborative & Adaptable:
Thrives in fast-paced environments and works effectively across teams.
Required Technical Skills
- Cloud network security fundamentals (VPC/VNET, WAF, cloud firewalls/FWaaS)
- SIEM and logging platforms (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Exabeam)
- Vulnerability management (Qualys, Nessus, Rapid7)
- Knowledge of cloud and application threats, secure coding practices, and OWASP Top 10
- Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, CSA)
