    School-Based ABA Therapist - Providence, United States - Soliant

    Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapist to join our team. As a school-based ABA Therapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities to reach their full potential. You will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement individualized behavior intervention plans and promote positive learning outcomes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on ABA principles.
    • Implement evidence-based ABA techniques to address challenging behaviors and teach adaptive skills.
    • Provide one-on-one or small group ABA therapy sessions in school settings.
    • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to ensure consistency and generalization of skills across different environments.
    • Collect data on student progress and behavior outcomes, and use data analysis to inform treatment planning.
    • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on intervention strategies.
    • Participate in team meetings, staff training, and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of ABA therapy.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field.
    • Experience working with children or adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities in school or clinical settings.
    • Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and establish positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
