    Zotefoams Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Zotefoams plc, the world's leading manufacturer of closed cell, cross-linked block foams. Our full process manufacturing facility includes plastic extrusion lines and high-pressure nitrogen gassing.

    The manufacturing facility utilizes all three stages of a proprietary process to create foam that is superior in strength, consistency, quality, and purity superior to foams produced by other methods.

    Products are used in a wide range of markets including automotive, aviation, aerospace, construction, medical, health and beauty, packaging, transporting, and sports and leisure.


    The Director of Quality role will be based in Walton, KY and responsible for quality across both Zotefoams' North American manufacturing sites (Walton, KY, and Tulsa, OK).

    This position is responsible for leading the implementation of holistic quality improvement processes across both manufacturing sites as well as managing a well-established QA testing lab within a 24/7 work environment.

    This leader must work closely with all internal and external partners to exceed customer satisfaction.


    Some Responsibilities Include:

    • Work with the leadership team to review quality standards in the QA lab, operations, and customer service for both the Walton operations (primarily foam production) and Tulsa, OK (primarily fabrication).
    • Serves as the primary quality control resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
    • Establishes collection and analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends that will affect improvement of product quality. Analyze trends, identify, and build action plans to improve quality initiatives, and present recommendations to company leaders.
    • Establishes and implements metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality) for monitoring system effectiveness and to enable managers to make sound product quality decisions.
    • Supports engineering and operation efforts by pro-actively leading quality improvement projects targeting the most critical transformations in the manufacturing of our products.
    • Leads root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements.
    • Leads the implementation and documentation of procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection. Drive accountability to the adherence of these critical tools.
    • Manage Q/A and Customer Service Staff. Build and grow our internal quality team as the company grows. Responsible for establishing performance standards, employee coaching and development, determining employee needs to include training and responsibilities. Works with Human Resources while evaluating performance, rewards as appropriate, disciplines, and recruits, and retains top-notch talent.
    • Lead activities related to achieving and maintaining an ISO Quality Management System.
    • Manage the implementation/maintenance/continuous improvement of Quality Systems.
    • Executing and implementing enhancements to existing quality system process in a manner that effectively supports the growth of the business.
    • Interacts with customers to ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans, identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel.
    • Ensuring that metrics are established to measure quality and assure that the processes they measure are within established quality standards.
    • Provide regular status reports to stakeholders, sponsors, the enterprise, and others involved in the project.
    • Leads ISO certification auditing and re-certification processes.
    • Ability to travel between all site locations.

    Requirements Include:
    Bachelor of Science (BS) in engineering or equivalent in a technical discipline preferred.


    10+ years of proven experience in quality assurance roles, experience as a Plant Quality Manager in a manufacturing environment preferred.

    Working knowledge of automotive industry quality management standards (VDA, AIAG-APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, IATF etc.).

    Knowledge of implementing and maintaining Quality Management systems and their auditing/assessment internal and external working with suppliers and customers.

    Excellent knowledge in the use of statistical methods (e.g. SPC, 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, FMEA & CP etc.).

    Comprehensive and proven knowledge of root cause analysis and problem-solving methods.

    Holds self-accountable; takes responsibility for actions, results, wins and mistakes.

    Is thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks.

    Is collaborative and maintains positive relationships by constructively resolving conflicts.

    Uses feedback from others to continuously improve performance and work relationships.

    Moves within own and/or other work areas (flexes) to support plant flow.

    Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

    Works with sense of urgency to meet the needs of customers.


    Has ability to focus on benefits of change and see it as positive; approaches change or newness in constructive/objective manner; views change as learning opportunity.

    Must be comfortable and effective acting as a catalyst for change and improvements.

    Will involve work in both manufacturing and office areas.

    Experience with ERP systems required, Microsoft Dynamics/AX a real plus

    Proficient in Microsoft office products.
