Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant assumes clinical responsibility in an assigned facility. This is a professional position with the primary responsibility of direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait training, functional ADL transfer safety and prosthetic training
• Observes records and reports to the supervising PT nurse or physician on patient response to treatment changes
• Instructs patient family caregiver or other team members on therapy areas where they can assist
• Visits patients according to plan completing daily notes for each visit participates in developing plans as needed communicates with PT's adheres to Therapy Standards of Practice
