    Must Have:
    Experience & knowledge with low voltage security work in large commercial buildings.

    Job Description

    Cable technician to help large, commercial customer with low-voltage security cabling. Install/troubleshoot access control, CCTV, alarm systems, CAT 5, CAT 6, WAP.
    Techs need to have their own vehicle, basic hand tools and PPE.
    Contract-to-hire
    SW is looking to bring on solid techs to help with their large influx of work. Once converted SW will supply company trucks and equipment.

    Level 2 Questions:
    1. Do you know how to splice? What is splicing? What cables can you splice? (they need to be able to go into detail)
    2. Do you know how to do ribbonized/ infused splicing? What types of cables can you do this on?
    3. What is a punch down? Can you go into detail?
    4. How long does it take to punch down 24 or 48 patch panels?
    5. Do you know your color codes?
    6. If you were to do Quality Assurance, what are some things you would be looking for?

    • Labeling of the cable

    • Termination point

    • Clean consistent dressing
