- Provides direct Nursing Care for surgical procedure patients
- Provides daily report of patient care activities to charge nurse ,nurse manager, or supervisor
- Assist in Scheduling treatments
- Admits patients and preps for procedures
- Assist in recovery of patients after procedures
- Assess and intervenes if adverse events occurs until patient can be elevated to higher level of care
- Manages chronic or Acute health problems
- Promotes Self Management and disease prevention
- Provides Patient and Family teaching is post operative and post procedural care

The Ambulatory Surgery Staff Nurse is responsible for using the Nursing process to deliver knowledgeable, safe, and quality care focused on the health needs of individuals and their families who are experiencing ambulatory surgery or procedures.Registered Nurse-Ambulatory Surgery (ASU)
Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
Paid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
