CEI's leading healthcare client is seeking a seasoned Senior Storage Engineer

to oversee critical Disaster Recovery operations for a data center in Columbia, SC.

This pivotal role involves maintaining and troubleshooting hardware systems, conducting regular onsite visits, and ensuring the seamless function of SAN storage infrastructure.

With a focus on continuity and efficiency, this position is vital in safeguarding our client's data integrity and operational resilience.

Columbia, SC (Onsite presence required 3 days per week, with potential for 5 days during DR audits)

Contract Type:
Long-term 12-month contract

Citizenship Requirement:
US Citizen (C2 Security clearance)

Responsibilities:

Maintain and troubleshoot the Disaster Recovery contingency requirements for a DC-based customer's hardware occupying an entire data center in Columbia, SC.

Perform onsite presence three times per week, with additional onsite days during full DR audits.
Build and maintain SAN storage from inception to completion, with expertise in Brocade, Dell, or IBM SAN technologies.
Demonstrate deep familiarity with IBM storage arrays including Disk Array Controllers, Cache, HDDs, and SSDs.
Coordinate and troubleshoot issues during disaster recovery exercises.
Maintain DR readiness by planning and meeting with the customer regularly.
Keep abreast of hardware EOL and renewals, ensuring the environment is up-to-date.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

4 years of server or relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, 6 years with an Associate's degree, or 8 years with no degree.

Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic environment.
Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Tools:
Expertise in SAN storage (Brocade, Dell, or IBM).
Proficiency in AIX, Linux, and VMWare.
Working knowledge of network troubleshooting.
