Full-time
Schedule: 7.00 Hours/Day (8:15 am-3:45 pm) Monday-Friday- Long-Term-Sub- Assignment expected to exceed 90 workdays (if fewer than 90 are worked due to start date, position will be reclassified as short-term sub) In addition, Early Intervention follows a stretch calendar that includes a summer session.
Minimum Daily Salary:
$368.01/ day
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The School Social Worker is that professional charged with the responsibility to serve as liaison between the school and home and school and community agency.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
Education Required:
Master's degree in social work
Certification Required:
School Social Work Certification; current license as a Social Worker (LSW) or licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the Pennsylvania Department of State
Experience Required:
Field work or internship in social casework situation
Other Qualifications:
Knowledge of school system, family system, social agency operation and ability to fit all together. Ability to work with families of children with disabilities in a knowledgeable fashion.
Valid State driver's license with a good driving record;
Approval as an IU13 Certified Driver
