    Description

    Head tennis coach will provide vision, leadership, and oversight for all aspects of the women's tennis program, to include caching the team; planning, organizing, and supervising team practices; actively identifying, evaluating, and recruiting student-athletes; and working within the NCAA, CIAA, and departmental guidelines.

    The incumbent will demonstrate a strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes by monitoring and actively encouraging participants to succeed academically and represent the university with the leadership and integrity, both on and off the court.

    Description of Work


    The Head Softball Coach is responsible for planning and directing the recruitment, conditioning, training, and performance of student-athletes, along with fiscal management for the Softball program.

    The Head Softball Coach is also responsible for ensuring that individuals and groups representing the University's athletic program comply with all institutional, CIAA, NCAA, and Title IX regulations.

    Competencies/Knowledge Skills, and Abilities Required in this Position

    Progressive successful coaching experience at the college level and/or a combination of education and experience.

    Possess a significant and successful athletic coaching background with knowledge of CIAA and NCAA regulations and certification procedures, Title IX, compliance, and fiscal operational complexities of an intercollegiate Softball program.

    License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation Management Preferences

    Ability to work with diverse populations, as part of a team, an collaborate with others. Demonstrated ability to work independently and to maintain confidentiality.
