This position is responsible for performing activities to provide a liaison between Production Control, Production, Quality and the Engineering Department.

This position has the ability to train employees on proper set up and operation of machinery, assist Supervisor in the completion of first article inspections to ensure quality standards are met, monitor and promote all safety best practices and policies.

We have a weekend day shift available. On the weekend day shift, you will work from 6am-7pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. You will train on day shift Monday-Friday from 6am to 2:30pm.

Set up, operate, and develop jobs and production operations.
Assist others in on floor technical problem solving.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action.
Participate in planning product flow across assigned work centers.

Ability to review blueprints, drawings, specifications, sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of part/product, sequence of operations and/or set up requirements.

Start and observe machine operation to detect any malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust the machine controls or control media as necessary.

Facilitate efficient throughput of jobs through the manufacturing shop in line with production schedules.
At least 2 years of shop floor CNC lead experience
4 years of CNC Machinist experience

Experience with root cause analysis, lean manufacturing, aerospace material and quality specifications, and programming capability

turning, milling, and inspection including cutting tools and their materials, fixture to machine relationships, general programming, set up, and qualification practices

The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

Hourly pay ratesare based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
