    Job Summary:


    The Senior Manager of Finance & Administration is responsible for a variety of key operational functions with an emphasis on financial planning and analysis and Law & Regular operations. Additionally, the position leads the Department's entire portfolio of financial planning and cost modeling management. This includes managing client legal services staffing model in partnership with the Claims organization, leading outside counsel and bill review teams. This leader also manages relationships with key stakeholders across the Law & Regulation organization. The Senior Manager of Finance & Administration is responsible for a variety of key operational functions with an emphasis on financial planning and analysis and Law & Reg operations. Additionally, the position leads the Department's entire portfolio of financial planning and cost modeling management. This includes managing client legal services staffing model in partnership with the Claims organization, leading outside counsel and bill review teams. This leader also manages relationships with key stakeholders across the Law & Regulation organization.

    Key Responsibilities:



    • Develop and proactively manage the annual Department planning, cost modeling and budgeting, including the use of expense forecasting processes and methods to bring consistency and predictability to financial planning, and leveraging key performance indicators.

    • Identify, collect, and report on key performance indicators and metrics that are meaningful and relevant in ascertaining the Department's budget management performance, including spend/trend analysis

    • Design and implement effective expense forecasting processes

    • Lead strategic financial planning efforts and related goals development

    • Partner with Claims organization on operating model, staffing and cross functional accountability

    • Serve as a trusted advisor and relationship manager for the department senior

    • Establish and maintain an effective relationship with the corporate finance

    • Partner with members of the Operations team to strategically use data to inform decision-making in relation to expense management, staffing optimization, development of clear and measurable long and short-term outcomes, and development of metrics that demonstrate the value of the function to the business. The above will include determining the right data to collect and monitor, designing and implementing metrics and dashboards, and developing and executing advanced analytics

    • Identify futuristic, innovative, and digital methods of optimizing operational and financial functions of the Department in partnership with Agile project teams across department

    • Oversee the knowledge management function, including information administration, resource procurement/maintenance, and continuing education

    • Lead bill review team to manage outside counsel reviews and mitigate costs

    • Serve as key resource for the department executive team including oversight and management of executive reporting and plan management, maintaining daily, weekly, monthly check ins to advance financial planning and reviews

    • Design and delivery key reporting and analytics for Law & Regulation initiatives

    Education and Experience:

    • 12 or more years of experience
    • Bachelor's Degree and MBA, in Finance or Business preferred
    • 7 or more years of law firm or large corporate legal department business management experience
    • 5 or more years of business operations, including relationship management
    • Experience working with senior leadership team

    Compensation offered for this role is $125,500.00-$199,750.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
