    Day Rotational 4x10 hour shifts, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, on call every other weekend.

    Job Description


    The Neurointerventional Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the direction of a physician within the Angio Interventional Radiology or Neuro IR services. This includes procedures such as extra-cranial and intracranial angiography, vertebroplasty, myelograms, cisternograms, embolizations, and more.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides technical support for all IR and neurointerventional procedures.
    • Operates advanced imaging equipment following established guidelines and protocols.
    • Ensures adherence to safety standards and radiation safety practices.
    • Instructs students and residents, performing preceptor duties when necessary.
    • Performs quality assurance checks on imaging equipment.
    • Maintains supply inventory for all procedures.
    • Utilizes UHS information systems for scheduling and coding.
    • Adheres to clinical principles and supports patient confidentiality.
    • Complies with hospital policies regarding incident reporting.

    Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

    • ARRT(R) certification.
    • New York State license as a Radiologic Technologist.
    • BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
    • Experience in interventional and neurointerventional radiology.
