- Document Preparation: Assist attorneys in drafting and editing legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and correspondence.
- Case Management: Maintain organized case files, track deadlines, and assist in case management tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
- Legal Research: Conduct legal research using available resources to support attorneys in case preparation and strategy.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients, opposing counsels, and court personnel professionally and promptly, maintaining a positive and helpful demeanor.
- Calendar Management: Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Billing Support: Assist in preparing and reviewing client invoices, track billable hours, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative duties such as answering phone calls, handling emails, filing, and maintaining office supplies.
- Greet clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner, directing them to the appropriate individuals or meeting rooms.
- Phone Management: Answer and direct incoming calls, take messages, and provide information to callers in a courteous manner.
- Appointment Scheduling: Manage appointment schedules for attorneys and maintain the overall calendar for the firm.
- Mail Handling: Sort and distribute incoming mail, process outgoing mail, and manage courier and shipping services.
- Facilities Management: Monitor and maintain the reception area, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for clients and staff.
- Database Maintenance: Update and maintain client databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.

Description
Our legal client is seeking a Legal Assistant/Receptionist to join their Chicago team on a Direct Hire basis. This position will manage the front desk, while also providing administrative support to a team of attorneys. 3+ years of Legal Assistant experience and a Bachelor's degree is required.
Salary: $55-60K
