• Licensed member of the Florida Bar and in good standing.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years plus of experience in commercial litigation.
• Will also handle family law when needed so experience in family law is a plus but not necessary.
• Must have excellent writing skills as well as possessing strong and persuasive oral advocacy skill.
• Must be organized, with a clear and concise communication style.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Must be able to review a file and determine the strategy of the file.
• Must be able to negotiate settlements.

• Manage a commercial litigation caseload working cases from inception through completion
• Preparing legal documents (motions, responses to motions, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence).
• Handle court events (hearings, depositions, mediations, etc.)
• Communicating with the clients so they understand the posture of their case (teleconferences, meetings, and correspondence).
• Meet with the partners so that you can understand what is being done to move the cases forward.
• Review files to determine case strategy, etc.
• Handling motion practice hearings and preparing motions and legal memoranda
• Filing motions
• Work on a wide variety of cases and possess exemplary communication and analytical skills
• Engaging in settlement negotiations
• Participation in the development of strategy for written and deposition discovery
• Represent clients in commercial litigation
• Assist with preparation for trials and evidentiary hearings
• Assist with matters from inception through trial
