    Volt is Immediately Hiring for a Mainframe Sr. Systems Programmer in DC/Remote.

    **Job Overview:**
    We are seeking a versatile z/OS Senior Systems Programmer skilled in the z/OS operating system with 9+ years of experience to join our team at Volt Services Group.


    The ideal candidate will have expertise in planning, installing, configuring, customizing, and maintaining IBM z/OS operating system software and various other base and optional features including TSO/E, ISPF/PDF, JES2, SDSF, in a multi-LPAR, multi-site environment.


    This position requires the ability to manage, maintain, and upgrade various IBM program products and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) software.


    In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate must be able to provide on-call services after normal working hours to respond to issues or implement configuration changes.


    **Key Responsibilities:**

    * Installation and customization of IBM z/OS and associated major subsystems.

    * Installation and customization of IBM and non-IBM software products running on the z/OS operating system.

    * Monitoring the operating system using tools including BMC to improve performance and diagnose and resolve problems.

    * Ensuring customer satisfaction and providing follow-up support to various customer organizations.

    * Responding to issues generated from the Helpdesk, Operations, and Applications staff.

    * Participating in disaster recovery procedures.

    * Creating and maintaining system policies and user documentation.


    **Requirements:**

    * Internal knowledge of IBM z/OS 2.2 or above.

    * Proficiency with IBM z/OS installation tools, including SMP/E, z/OSMF, PDO, etc.

    * Experience in UNIX Systems Services under z/OS.

    * Experience with hardware configuration tools (HCD, IODF).


    **Preferred Skills and Experience:**

    * Familiarity with z/OS Security product CA Top secret.

    * Knowledge of other IBM products, such as CICS and DB2.


    **Education:**

    * Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or four years of additional experience.


    **Salary and Benefits:**

    Estimated salary: $55-60 per hour.
