    Position Summary
    The Floating Controller will offer support to any of the 35 Prepared Foods Plant on a temporary basis. Key responsibilities will include:
    • Supporting weekly and monthly close activities
    • Providing insights on monthly operation results
    • Assisting with all production reporting and inventory functions
    • Analyzing Cost Savings and/or Cost Reduction activities at the plant level
    • Offering financial analysis and cost estimates for new product development or cost reduction efforts
    • Supporting LEAN and Safety initiatives as needed
    • Conducting or coordinating audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with regulations
    • Ensuring plant personnel understand and fulfill all financial responsibilities
    • Assisting in the preparation of required forecasts
    • Communicating any specific additional plant needs to leadership for proper financial support
    • Assisting in the onboarding of a full-time controller
    When not in the field, the floating controller role will support the Operations finance team in driving standardization by:
    • Aiding in the development of training materials and month-end documentation for the controller role at all Prepared Foods Plants
    • Developing reports to support consolidated plant reporting
    • Creating reports to link plant and business unit results
    • Documenting audit tests and establishing a centralized system for ensuring plant consistency
    REQUIREMENTS:
    Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. MA, MBA and/or CPA preferred. Experience in Finance and/or Cost Accounting, preferably in the food industry.
    Experience: 6+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of standard cost and variance reporting. Proficient in GAAP, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, General Ledger Accounting, Payroll, and SOX. Understanding of procurement, production, and delivery of finished goods, and their impact on profitability. Knowledge of cost accounting practices and theories required.
    Special Skills: Strong leadership skills, critical thinking, excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Capacity to adapt to new work environments.
    Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, familiarity with SAP and database systems.
    Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all team members at various levels.
    Supervisory: 1-3 Direct Reports as necessary
    Travel: This role will involve significant travel. Regular visits to supported plants are mandatory.
