Description
:Circles of Peace Tulsa Program The Circles of Peace Tulsa pilot is an evidence-informed domestic violence restorative justice pilot program for men referred to treatment who have been involved in low-risk/severity domestic violence incidents. During the summer of 2024, this pilot program will begin to accept up to 60 cases over the pilot program period. Modeled after New York University's Center on Violence and Recovery (NYU CVR) nationally recognized Circles of Peace model, this 18-week hybrid program will consist of 12 weeks of group treatment for those who caused harm and six weeks of joint circles that will bring the person harmed/victim together with the person who caused harm, should the victim choose to participate. Victims will be engaged and supported throughout the pilot program period. Position Summary The Circles of Peace Coordinator serves as an at-will staff member of Domestic Violence Intervention Services (DVIS). DVIS has existed in the community with a goal of sustainability as pilot programs are initiated. The Circles of Peace Coordinator actively works toward the eradication of interpersonal violence through prevention work with people who cause harm and oversee the day-to day operations of the Tulsa pilot program, serving as their primary point of contact responsible for the successful implementation of the pilot project period. The coordinator will provide general program oversight responsible for meeting all project deadlines, effective administrative coordination, scheduling for program participants, and case management. Priority 1:
Manage day-to-day Pilot Program Operations - overseeing the successful implementation of the pilot. Work closely with the VP and Circle facilitators; consult with team throughout the program's operation.
Assist with or may be responsible for accepting a person who has caused harm into the pilot program, logistical preparations, and preparing participants for Circles.
Conduct intake interview and safety assessment with each referral and explain the treatment process, complete initial report.Priority 2:
Facilitate groups and their accompanying conjoint Circles during pilot. Engage suitable Circles of Peace trained community members who will participate in Joint Circles and other circle participants.
Collaborate with survivor therapist to ensure alignment with pilot program goals.
Priority 3:
Collaboration Cultivate and maintain relationships with relevant support offices, and referral sources; meet with referral sources to establish, maintain, and advocate for a sustainable referral pipeline.
Attend and/or coordinate all relevant meetings and trainings in preparation for program launch and during program implementation.Work with other DVIS departments and federal, state and local agencies regarding client matters.

Advocate for appropriate services for Circles of Peace clients including but not limited to linking clients to services for mental health, financial stability, parenting skills, substance use recovery, coordinating childcare and transportation and other needs
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Coordinates implementation of groups and joint circles and the facilitators that lead them
Budgetary/Fiscal Responsibilities:
Acts as a good steward of DVIS's resources
Responsibility for Confidentiality:
The nature of this work requires safeguarding against the release of confidential and proprietary information of DVIS and its clients
Contact with Others:
This position will interact with managers at all levels and staff members across the organization, in addition to members of external organizations and the public
Documentation:
Maintains up-to-date and accurate files for each client according to agency guidelines and current professional standards
Meetings and Training:
Attend meetings and training as requested by supervisor
Requirements:
Education:
Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or another related mental health field required
Experience:
1-2 years clinical experience, preferred.
Experience working within a nonprofit and directly with at-risk populations is preferred or any equivalent combination of experience, lived experience, and/or special skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of or experience working with social justice issues, specifically intimate partner and gender-based domestic and sexual violence, and racial, class, gender, sexual orientation issues, and intervention/prevention services strongly preferred.
Requires dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion, excellent organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize work and tasks.
Requires adaptability to produce and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-task and changing environment, with frequent pressure related to meeting deadlines and scheduling requirements.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.Requires the ability to embrace, support, and integrate DVIS's philosophies to promote and demonstrate DVIS's commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity, and anti-racism.

Proven computer skills, including Microsoft office suite, documentation software, etcare necessary Schedule Availability:
40 hours per week.
Monday through Friday, 8:
30 am to 5:00 pm. Some evening work is required as coverage is needed.
Licenses/Certifications:
Current or under supervision for LPC, LMFT, or LCSW or other related professional licensure in good standing current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
