Pembroke Hill School is seeking a 60% faculty member to teach Drama and Speech in the middle school grades 6-8. This position will begin in August of 2024 for the school year.
The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of teaching background and experience in directing middle or high school plays. Applicants should be personable, creative, flexible, have a genuine desire to work with middle school students. Candidates must be organized, prepare lesson plans in advance to deliver high-quality content and experiences for student growth, provide clear direction in daily lessons with students, and use appropriate methods of feedback to guide students in their development of speech and drama. Strong pedagogical knowledge of the performing arts applied to speech and drama curriculum, which represents diverse experiences across various genres and topics, is desired. There are coaching and club sponsor opportunities available for additional compensation.
